TUDOR diving watches have a rich history of being used by the US Navy, with a legacy that began in the late 1950s. The new Pelagos FXD pays homage to these mission-critical timepieces. The “FXD” in its name refers to the fixed strap bars, which are intricately machined into the 42mm titanium case for enhanced reliability. This contemporary Milsub boasts a titanium bezel with 60 precise notches, incorporating a ceramic insert and a 60-minute graduation filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova. These features ensure it meets the ISO standard 6425:2018 for divers’ watches. The dial, finished in matte black, showcases applied hour markers and the iconic “Snowflake” hands, all generously filled with Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility underwater. It is powered by the TUDOR Manufacture Calibre MT5602, a COSC-certified automatic chronometer movement that provides a weekend-proof 70-hour power reserve. With a water resistance of up to 200 meters, it comes with a forest green one-piece fabric strap and an alternative one-piece black rubber strap with a fabric-motif design.
